Children love to decorate straw cowboy hats, available from us.
Set up a craft table where they can decorate their hats with
stickers, glitter, puffy paint, beads and buttons. Then take
a Polaroid photograph of each child to glue on to their hats.
Another idea is to make horseshoe shaped frames out of cardboard that they can decorate and then display the Polaroid of themselves riding the pony at home. Gluing a magnet on the back lets them hang it on the refrigerator.
Instead of baking a cake, how about a non-messy Brownie Cone? Take vanilla ice cream cones, fill with pre-packaged brownie mix and bake for the time specified on the box, then frost. It's like an ice-cream cone cake!
